Physical Music and Polyrhythms in the Body -

In Lelavision's unique genre Leah and Ela lead journeys that explore the connection of sound and motion
by combining instruments, music, and movement in simultaneity.

• Olympics of the Mind

Using the cultivation of imagination to source originality and invention, this workshop focuses on inventing
things to solve problems. Students come up with their own ideas for objects that can solve
real or imagined problems. We use brainstorming, brain teasing, and brain gym with group
excersizes in emergent forms, collaboration, and creativity to generate ideas. Current and historical material
on inventors and inventions that have changed our lives combine with modern notions of
crowd sourcing and scientific principles to inspire and educate.

• Creative Movement and Tumbling

Exploring developmental patterns with music, movement, yoga and tumbling for ages 3-5 and 6-8

• Improvising with Hope in These (R)evolutionary Times

Day-long or full weekend retreat for adults using improvisation as a tool to explore resiliency factors.

• Instrument Making From Ordinary Objects

Students are led through a process of creating their own instruments and learning to play them in a kinetic
and playful manner. Recyclables are repurposed for the use of making and playing for ages 6-12.

• Brainercize

Developmental movement, BrainGym, Brain Dance, and hand yoga are combined to facilitate greater mobility
and alertness for seniors living independently, in community, or in care centers.

• Science of Sound

interactive, playful lecture-demonstration with performance excerpts utilizing Ela's musical inventions
as examples of the scientific principles of sound.
